NU FORRM opens with SHIMMER a 17mn sinuous sonic adventure that figures as the the soundscape of his ongoing Venice Biennale installation - giving the tone to a free form experiment overlapping genres and formats. FarmanFarmaian leads the project with a signature vintage sound on electric guitar - charging the load with tribal riffs and deep ambient distortion seeking connections with the Gnawa of Essaouira and Sub-Saharian desert rock ( A NOMAD PRAYER ) while tripping poetic vocal drops as shamanistic dreamscapes ( HIDING PLACE, JOL ) along spiritual visions ( GATES OF TURAN ) and a personal SPACEY ballad, EMBERS ATONE'

Strange Death Of the Future takes its impulsion on Automation and Futurist thinking, Concept-Building on Radical Conceptions such as the Unnecessariat or Asteroid Mining. Presented as a Polymediatic digital-physical object-interplay...

TRACES VR is the virtual reality inception of Persian multidisciplinary artist Firouz FarmanFarmaian's ongoing physical retrospective at the PALAIS AZIZA & SPA - Palmeraie of Marrakesh - augmented by the previously unreleased art-video TRACES SOUNDWALK. The film takes us on a musical-narrative and visual voyage into FarmanFarmaian's memorial explorations within the walls of Marrakesh's fabulous Palais Aziza.

Set to Launch on Oct. 9th 2020 via a live ZOOM opening + viewing on the occasion of the Frieze London 2020, the artist will invite a panel of three guests including London based Middle Eastern Art Specialist Curator-Art Dealer Janet Rady, Rome based awarded Curator and Art Advisor Sveva Manfredi Zavaglia and Palais Aziza Marrakech Director Daniela Skopnik to present the exhibit.

Originally privately launched alongside the 1-54 Marrakesh Art Fair in February 2020 as an extension of FarmanFarmaian's monumental installation at the Théâtre Royal on the Fair's Public Program - exhibits were graced by high profile viewings including her Majesty Farah Diba, Lady Penny Mountbatten and Vanessa Branson with a donation going towards Maryam Montague's Project Soar Foundation for young girl empowerment in Morocco.


Curated physically + digitally by WE R THE NOMADS AGENCY on the NOUVELLE VAGUE ARTSPACES VR platform, it includes crossover collaborations with JANET RADY FINE ART extending the exhibit onto her specialized, curated selection on the JRFA Artsy page and with San Francisco based KEBIRA FOUNDATION to which part of the funds related to online sales will be reversed in support of Moroccan Artists suffering from the 2020 lock down.

From the interior of a comfort zone towards an external, exterior territory. Its relation to me : opposing forces + directions 2 forms joined back to back, apparently pulling away...
