A healthy and full functional Human Body has over around 230 joints. Many of the joints have one degree of freedom and some have more than one DOF. Which makes the total of 244 DOF.
But for me the freedom of mind, thought and imagination is an extra degree. Because even if you have any physical disability or you are limited to do what you want to do by any obligatory rule, however, no one can stop you to think and imaging.
